No injuries in southside house fire; PSP fire marshal investigating
SHENANDOAH – No one was hurt in a house fire in a southside alleyway Saturday morning, though two pets remain unaccounted for.
The fire broke out around 8am at a home at 431 West Atlantic Street in Shenandoah.
Firefighters arrived to find flames blowing out of the second floor of the home.
Shenandoah Fire Chief Rick Examitas said no injuries were reported and the fire started in a second floor bedroom.
A State Police fire marshal is investigating, the chief said.
Three pets are accounted for and two are loose as of the last update.
The fire rose to two alarms, drawing firefighters from Shenandoah, Mahanoy City, Girardville, Ringtown, Pottsville, Frackville, and more to the scene.
