No injuries in Shenandoah rollover

SHENANDOAH – No injuries were reported after a two car vehicle accident on Shenandoah’s west end Friday afternoon.

The accident occurred just after 7:00pm at Gilbert and West Centre Streets.

According to Shenandoah Police, a Subaru Outback was travelling westbound on West Centre approaching Gilbert Street when a Jeep Compass entered the intersection from South Gilbert Street

The Outback was unable to stop in time and struck the Compass broadside, causing it to roll.

The Compass came to a rest on its wheels, partially on the northern sidewalk of West Centre.

Both drivers were uninjured, according to Shenandoah Police.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing, though speed was cited as a potential cause for the accident.

Assisting Shenandoah Police were fire crews from Shenandoah’s Rescue Hook & Ladder and Columbia fire companies, Shenandoah Ambulance, and Steve’s Towing.
