No injuries in Route 924 collision near Harwood
HAZLE TWP., Luzerne County – No one was hurt when State Police at Hazleton said a Freightliner truck crossed into the path of another vehicle Monday afternoon.
The crash happened at the Route 924 and the I-81 ramp around 2:30pm Monday.
Troopers said Kevin Stoddard, 54, of Jamesville, New York, was driving a Freightliner truck north on Route 924. He turned left to enter I-81 North without clearing the intersection and proceeded into the path of 49-year-old John Tito, of Hazleton, driving a 1982 Chevrolet K30.
Tito’s vehicle collided with Stoddard’s truck, causing disabling damage to the Chevrolet and minor damage to the Freightliner.
Stoddard was evaluated and cleared by EMS at the scene and Tito was uninjured.
