New SV club giving back to community, takes over Hoops for Heart fundraiser
SHENANDOAH – The Shenandoah Valley High School has launched a new club and its first event was a longtime fundraiser at the school.
The Community Engagement Club was formed by students who have a strong desire to give back to their community.
Each year for at least the past 15 years, the school district has organized a Hoops for Heart tournament Thanksgiving week.
That project is now the Community Engagement Club’s and was held on Tuesday, Nov. 26 this year. It raised $350 which was donated to the National Heart Association.
