SHENANDOAH – The borough will soon have a working street sweeper again, and it’ll be hitting the streets soon.
At Monday’s council meeting, Shenandoah Borough Council President Joe Boris said street cleaning will begin Monday, May 4 in town.
“Our street department is working, getting new signs up and everything,” Boris said. He said No Parking signs are being installed in alleyways.
The new street sweeper, ordered last year, is currently in Scranton and will soon be delivered.
For the past few years, street sweeping in town has been haphazard as the street sweeper was often down for repairs.
