New restaurant opens in former St. Stephen’s Hall downtown

SHENANDOAH – A new business opened Friday in downtown Shenandoah.
El Puerto Restaurant and Store held a ribbon cutting in the afternoon.
The restaurant is at 101 South Main Street in the former St. Stephen’s Hall. It most recently housed an appliance shop.
Maira and Marco Paniagua opened the restaurant, which features Latino fare.
Baked goods, produce, and pottery are also available.
Shenandoah Mayor Andrew Szczyglak was on hand for the ribbon cutting.
The store is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 10pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 10pm.
