Mummey announces re-election campaign in East Union
SHEPPTON – The chairman of East Union Township’s board of supervisors is running to retain his seat on the board.
Kyle Mummey announced his re-election campaign earlier this week.
He is one of three candidates vying for the seat he has held for the past four years.
“I have been committed to improving our community and making East Union Township a better place for all of us,” Mummey said. “Together with my team, we have achieved significant milestones that enhance our safety and quality of life within the township.
He outlined 22 accomplishments, including securing a $90,000 grant and $10,000 donation for two new police vehicles, a $50,000 grant to revitalize Sheppton American Legion Park, modernizing the township office’s network, plans to develop a Sheppton Mine Disaster Park, and more.
Mummey added that a “massive paving project” is planned for Brandonville this summer as well.
“With your support, I will continue to build on these successes, ensuring a prosperous future for East Union Township,” Mummey said. “Let’s not try to fix something that isn’t broken. Let’s keep the team together and keep moving forward.”
