Mt. Carmel Police seeking persons of interest in carjacking, burglary
MOUNT CARMEL – Police in this Northumberland County borough are seeking several persons of interest in a reported carjacking at the Turkey Hill in town.
Police said the incident happened around 9:45pm Wednesday night at the convenience store at Fifth and Market Street.
Two men entered the victim’s car and assaulted the victim, taking his car and driving away.
The vehicle was found abandoned and the victim was able to keep hold of their keys.
Police also said a burglary happened overnight at the B&B Service Center across the street, which may be related. They said someone broke into the building, rummaged through the office, and removed various items.
The two incidents, they said, may be related to the same suspects.
