Enjoy a night of comedy from some of the best in the business. These guys will have you in stitches! Mountain Valley’s first Comedy night will feature Scott Bruce, Mike Stankiewicz, and Mike Eagan.
Scott Bruce
It’s hard to find a venue that has not taken advantage of Scott Bruce’s many and varied talents. You may catch him on a cruise ship, at a nightclub in Las Vegas, or a Moose Lodge in rural Pennsylvania. The one thing you are guaranteed is a good time and a lot of laughs. His quick wit, adlibbing ability, and natural timing make not just a great comic, but also one of the most sought after MC’s working today.
So many factors come together in Scott’s background that have combined to create this unique performer. For example, he’s a published author. Not one, not two, but three books are available on store shelves right now. Scott hosted the EMMY award winning PBS television show “The Pennsylvania Game”. In between traveling the country, telling jokes, and writing books, he managed to start and run a successful business. It should come as no surprise that the business is a small chain of comedy clubs called Wise Crackers.
Mike Stankiewicz
Dig, it’s appropriate that this cat has gigged in nearly every comedy venue in the United States. At home in an eclectic gathering in San Francisco or a rust belt bar come shifts end, this clever comic will turn the tables on everyone. Winner of the prestigious, “Best of Philly” award presented by Philadelphia Magazine, Stank takes you down a road you didn’t expect to travel with a conversational style that makes you feel like you’re riding the bar stool next to him. Among his international television appearances including “Comedy On The Road” with John Byner on A&E, Mike presents a special wit that transcends all mediums and blows his audiences away! Maybe that’s why everyone wants him back.
With his rust belt influence, his intellectual proclivity and a blue-collar approach to humor, he first turned Philadelphia on its ear, before taking his act on the road. Stank does for stand-up what Tom Waits does for music. So if you like Mr. Waits and have a penchant for Charles Bukowski, you’ll love Mike Stankiewicz! He’s a modern day Kerouac, hell, you probably passed him “on the road”!
Mike Eagan
Ask any comedian in the country, they will tell you…Mike Eagan is a comedians’ comedian. This is one of those funny people that make all the other funny people stay after their set is done to watch a master. He tells the most simple stories in the most disarming – and hilarious – manner. Whether the topic is driving on a crowded highway, sharing a bathroom with his wife or visiting the family at Thanksgiving, Mike finds the humor with a quick and very sharp wit. He is so fast you can actually watch the audience trying not to laugh in fear they might miss the next side-splitting gem.
Mike has more than 25 years of stage experience and has made his mark from coast to coast and beyond. You can catch him regularly in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. He spent years as the mc/host/creative director of famed New York City hot spots like Catch A Rising Star and Dangerfield’s. He has also enjoyed a stellar career in radio where his quick wit and ability to ad-lib earned him the coveted morning show for a number of different stations in the New York metropolitan area. Currently he is in demand at comedy clubs, corporate events and everywhere great comedy is available.
Watch Mike once and you will think he is making up everything that comes out of his mouth right on the spot. Watch him a number of times and you will realize that happens a lot! If you are a fan of funny and you are a fan of smart, this is one comedian you cannot afford to miss!
Come see why Chris Rock and hundreds of other comedians claim that Mike Eagan was one of the biggest influences on their careers!
