HAZLETON – If you’re looking for something to do on the weekend in March, a local club has an idea for you.
The Anthracite Model Railroad Society is holding St. Patrick’s Day open houses most weekends in March.
The club, located at 1056 Hanover Court in Hazle Township, just outside the city, will be open from noon to 4pm for the first three weekends.
You can check out a 1,200 square foot model railroad layout depicting the Hazleton area and points beyond. On March 7 and 8, Thomas the Tank Engine equipment will be running.
There’ll also be a special scavenger hunt, organizers say.
Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
