McDonalds Lunch closing restaurant, shifting to catering-only

GIRARDVILLE – Today’s the last day for a longtime lunch spot in Girardville.
McDonald’s Lunch is closing at the end of the day today, Sunday, May 18.
In a Facebook post, ownership thanked customers for the past 33 years.
The restaurant is shifting to catering only.

Kathryn Balsavage has owned the restaurant on 2nd Street since the 1990’s. It was previously owned by the McDonald family.
“A special thanks to my cousin Jen and my sister Joan for hanging in there with me,” a Facebook post from the restaurant read. “I will miss each and every one of you and I will miss this place more than you can imagine.”
The restaurant is open from 11am to 3pm Sunday.
