Manor takes in residents from Mt. Carmel fire, seeking donations
SHENANDOAH – Some of the displaced residents from Saturday’s nursing center fire in Mount Carmel are now in Shenandoah and could use your help.
The Birches at Shenandoah Manor, part of the Shenandoah Manor Nursing Center, took in residents from the personal care center at Mount Carmel, the site of Saturday’s fire. The two centers are operated by the same company.
Desiree Dunleavy, administrator at the Shenandoah personal care facility, said they are seeking clothing donations, incontinent products, hygiene products, toiletries, among others for the displaced residents.
Clothing sizes include women’s 3X, 2X, XL, medium, small, men’s XL pajama pants and men’s XL and Large clothes.
