Man taken in cuffs from Mahanoy crash scene

KAYLEE LINDENMUTH / SHENANDOAH SENTINEL - The scene of a vehicle accident on August 8, 2020 in Mahanoy City.
MAHANOY CITY – Three vehicles are damaged and one person was taken into custody after a crash in this borough early Saturday morning.
The crash happened just after 2:30am in the 100 block of West Mahanoy Street near Linden Street, right outside the Lokie Shop.
A Ford Edge struck a parked Mitsubishi Montero, pushing it into a Subaru parked behind it, causing significant damage to both parked vehicles.

The driver of the Ford was taken away in handcuffs by Mahanoy City Police. His identity was not made available as of Saturday morning.

The Ford was towed from the scene by Steve’s Towing, Shenandoah.
Responding were Mahanoy City and Shenandoah Police. Mahanoy City Fire and EMS were cancelled shortly after dispatch.
