Man sentenced to 7 years federal prison time for Mahanoy break-in
MAHANOY CITY – A Pottsville man will spend seven years in federal prison for his role in a Mahanoy City break-in a few years ago.
Joshua Marsh, 29, of Pottsville, was sentenced Monday by U.S. District Court Judge Malachy E. Mannion for conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery.
He pleaded guilty to the charge, admitting that he participated in an armed home-invasion in Mahanoy City on August 30, 2020.
U.S. Attorney Gerard Karam said he, Joushton Rodriguez and Solomon Rodriguez, entered the victims’ home and robbed the victims of a lockbox containing drug proceeds.
All three were masked and one had a homemade AR-15 style machine gun, Karam said.
Last week, the ringleader of the conspiracy, Steven Wong, was convicted, as was Solomon Rodriguez. They are awaiting sentencing.
