Man rescued from early morning Lost Creek crash
LOST CREEK – A man was rescued from a one car crash in this West Mahanoy Township village Thursday morning.
The crash happened around 6am at Route 54 and Colorado Road where a Toyota sedan left the roadway and was down an embankment, nearly in the Shenandoah Creek.
One man was trapped in the vehicle and was rescued by firefighters from William Penn and Mahanoy City among others.
He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
West Mahanoy Township Police said the driver was travelling too fast for the curve and left the roadway, striking several trees.
The vehicle was towed by Steve’s Towing.
