Man killed in crash on I-80 in Luzerne County
DENNISON TOWNSHIP – A man was killed in a crash late Sunday on Interstate 80 near Beech Mountain Lakes, state troopers said Monday.
Amode Quadik Allen was identified as the victim killed. He was a passenger in a car that was parked on the shoulder off the side of the highway, State Police at Hazleton said.
Troopers said the crash happened around 8:30pm Saturday night on Interstate 80 Eastbound in Dennison Township.
Troopers said a passenger car struck another passenger car that was parked on the shoulder. The striking vehicle was then struck by a tractor-trailer.
The crash closed the highway for about five hours.
Quadik succumbed to his injuries Monday, troopers said.
The investigation is ongoing.
