MAHANOY CITY – Mahanoy City’s Community Day will be tentatively moved to October 3, according to Tuesday evening’s borough council meeting.

Council President Tom McCabe said the event will be a fall festival this year, should it be able to be held.

“Everything is pending,” McCabe stressed, referring to the fluidity of the pandemic situation.

Another event council approved moving was the Good American Fire Company’s Block Party, which is now set for the weekend of July 31.
