Mahanoy splits home bocce match against Panther Valley
MAHANOY CITY – Mahanoy Area’s bocce ball team split Tuesday’s home match against Panther Valley.
The Bears hosted the Panthers, a league newcomer in the growing unified sport.
Panther Valley took the first match 11-2.
Mahanoy Area took the second game into overtime and took the victory 6-7.
The squads will rematch on Jan. 16 at the Panther Valley Intermediate School.
