Mahanoy Elks make $6k donation to northern Schuylkill food pantries

MAHANOY CITY – Food pantries in Shenandoah, Mahanoy City, and Ringtown received a notable boost thanks to the Mahanoy City Elks Lodge.
The lodge presented a $6,000 check to Schuylkill Community Action, which supports the food pantries in those three northern Schuylkill communities which are in the lodge’s district.
The funds came through a Beacon Grant from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the overarching Elks organization.
