FOUNTAIN SPRINGS – For the first time in a decade, when the North Schuylkill Spartans take the field next season, it will be with a different head coach.
Wally Hall submitted his resignation Wednesday morning as head football coach.
He began his career at North Schuylkill in 2013, leading the Spartans to a 9-3 record and runner-up finish in Class 2A of the Eastern Conference.
Under his leadership, the Spartans won District XI 3A Gold in 2018, 2020, and 2021, and finished runner-up in 2014, 2019, 2022, and 2024.
His final season, the Spartans finished 8-4, falling in the District X1 3A semifinals to Northwestern Lehigh.
Three of the Spartans losses came to teams playing in this weekend’s state championship games.
Hall’s overall record is 115-37.
The North Schuylkill School District thanked Hall for his leadership and wished him the best.
The search, they said, will begin immediately for his replacement.
