Locust Valley drowning victim identified
LOCUST VALLEY – A 72-year-old Barnesville man was identified as the victim of a drowning over the weekend in this part of Ryan Township.
State Police at Frackville said Arthur Heckman, 72, of Barnesville, was fishing at the Locust Valley Fish and Game on Back Road when the incident happened.
Troopers said he was fishing at the property and was riding an ATV. Both he and the ATV entered the water, where Heckman drowned, troopers said.
First responders were first called to the scene around 5:30pm Saturday, and his body and ATV were recovered by the Ryan Township Dive Team.
