CRESSONA – Ashland’s 9-11 Little Leaguers are playing for the Section 3 title this afternoon in Cressona.
Ashland faces Selinsgrove for a rematch at 5:30pm at Cressona’s Little League complex.
The two squads faced off Monday in what was a must-win situation for Ashland.

Selinsgrove, having swept the winner’s bracket, had the opportunity to win the title with a Monday victory over Ashland, who swept the loser’s bracket after a round one loss to Keystone.
Monday’s matchup was never in doubt for Ashland, who took control of the game early and never looked back.
Ashland had an 8-0 lead after two innings, a lead that would only grow.

By the end, Ashland had earned an 11-1 victory, forcing a rematch today with the title on the line for both squads.
The victor moves on to the Pennsylvania state tournament in Pittston, to be held July 24-30, and will face Section 7’s champion at 12:30pm on July 24.
