SHENANDOAH – In a game delayed a day due to weather, Shenandoah’s 10-12 Little League all-stars began their District 24 tournament run with a rough start.
The Shenandoah squad opened the pool play portion of the tournament against SPN, a combination team for Saint Clair, Port Carbon, and New Philadelphia, at Joe “Shorty” Uholik Memorial Field on the west end.

SPN’s rally gave the team an 11-1 lead over Shenandoah, triggering the mercy rule and ending the game with a walk-off.
The two squads and Upper Dauphin/Millersburg are competing in Pool 4 of the tournament. The top two teams after pool play advance to the quarterfinals.
Shenandoah’s next game is Wednesday, June 23 at Upper Dauphin/Millersburg.
