ASHLAND – Parts of the area remain without power after two lines of gusty storms rolled through the area Wednesday evening.

As of 4pm, the Oakland and Big Mine Run areas of Ashland and Butler Township were without power due to a tree limb on wires, according to PPL Electric Utilities. That also includes Boyer’s and Dollar General in Ashland.

In total, 152 PPL customers were impacted. PPL says restoration is expected by 11pm tonight.

Just north, Centralia, Ashland, and much of the Midvalley area are also without power for the same reason. About 521 customers are out in that area, and power is expected to be restored by 6:30pm.

Intermittent power outages are reported across the Ringtown Valley as well as Barry and Butler Townships.

Saint Clair is also out due to weather, including Walmart and the Coal Creek Commerce Center. Power is expected to be restored there by 11pm.

Check PPL’s outage map for information on your area.
