Hummer hits North Union plow
ZION GROVE – Among the slew of vehicle accidents during yesterday’s snowstorm was one involving a North Union Township plow.
State Police at Frackville say the crash happened around 5:00pm on Green Mountain Road.
Troopers said Kerry Houser, 53, of Zion Grove, was headed south on Green Mountain Road in a 2019 Western Star plow, as Robert Ormiston, 58, of Zion Grove, was headed north in a Hummer.
Ormiston lost control of the Hummer in a right-hand downhill corner and slid into the plow’s lane, striking the plow.
Both drivers were seatbelted, and Ormiston complained of pain, troopers said, but took himself to be evaluated.
Houser was unharmed.
Ormiston’s Hummer had to be towed from the scene.
