HS SOFTBALL: Spartans blank Tamaqua 14-0; Devils blanked at Minersville

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS – North Schuylkill’s softball squad blanked Tamaqua in a Tuesday afternoon matchup.
The Spartans took the victory 14-0 over the Raiders.
Gianna Capone led the Spartans on offense with four hits and four RBI’s.

Mallorie Croker added two hits and three RBI’s. Brigid Flynn had two hits and two RBI’s. Lyza Holmes had two hits and an RBI.
Monica Selgrade added a hit and an RBI.
Jordanna Frie and Olivia Jones each added a hit while Elizabeth Nahodil had an RBI.

On the mound, Peyton Miscannon pitched five innings for the Lady Spartans, allowing two hits and striking out four.
The Spartans move on to play at Pottsville on Thursday.

Elsewhere in the area, Shenandoah Valley dropped an away game at Minersville Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Devils fell 20-0 against the Miners.
Minersville had 16 runs alone in the first inning, followed by another four in the second inning.
