HS SOFTBALL: Lady Devils fall to Jim Thorpe in season opener

SHENANDOAH – The high school softball season kicked off Tuesday afternoon at Bicentennial Park.

The Lady Devils of Shenandoah Valley hosted the Lady Olympians of Jim Thorpe for the season opener.

Jim Thorpe scored first in the top of the second inning, scoring nine runs.

They did not let up, scoring another 13 through the next two innings, with the game ending after four innings.

Shenandoah fell 22-0. The Lady Devils had no hits and five errors. Jim Thorpe had 15 hits.

The Lady Devils are on the road Thursday at Notre Dame.
