HS FOOTBALL: Spartans remain undefeated after OT thriller against Blue Mtn.

MARY SAJONE / SPECIAL TO SHENANDOAH SENTINEL - North Schuylkill's #19 Dylan Dietz, passing to Jared Tinari on a fake field goal in overtime.
FOUNTAIN SPRINGS – It took all four quarters, and then some, but the Spartans conclude their two-game homestand with an unblemished record.
North Schuylkill (3-0) hosted the Eagles of Blue Mountain (1-2) Friday night.
Scores were few and far between, as the two squads locked into a defensive battle.

Blue Mountain took an early lead, with WR #11 Bryce Hensley taking a QB Jack Dean pass 16 yards to paydirt.
That would be the only score in the first half, though the Spartans would answer in the second half, with a pair of rushing scores — a Jake Hall 3-yarder and a Jaxson Chowansky 1-yarder — giving them a 14-7 advantage late.
Blue Mountain, though, wasn’t giving up without a fight.

A Toby Renninger 5-yard run with knot the game up, sending it into overtime.
A fake field goal would decide it, as Dylan Dietz would find Jared Tinari on a four yard pass, giving North Schuylkill the victory.
Next week, the Spartans are on the road, bound for Jim Thorpe (3-0).
