HS FOOTBALL: Mahanoy blanks Panther Valley, 35-0

LANSFORD – A week removed from a dominant performance of their own over Shenandoah Valley, the Panthers found themselves on the opposite side of the coin this week as they hosted another local team.

Panther Valley hosted Mahanoy Area for military appreciation night Thursday night in a televised game.

The Bears were led by Kyler Quick, who ran for 163 yards and three touchdowns. He contributed on defense as well, stripping the ball off Panther Valley’s Marcus Rodriguez.

Mahanoy Area improves to 3-6 and can clinch a District XI playoff berth with a win over Shenandoah Valley next week.
