SHENANDOAH – By halftime in this Gold Out game for Shenandoah Valley, the Devils found themselves in an unfortunately familiar position — trailing by multiple scores.
The score after two quarters had Schuylkill Haven, entering the game at 2-4, leading 42-0.
The second half wouldn’t provide the Devils any more breaks.

Entering the 4th quarter, the Hurricanes were leading 49-0, when freshman running back Connor Goehring added to Haven’s lead, giving them a 55-0 advantage. Haven knelt for the extra point.
Late in the 4th, the Devils found themselves backed up against their own endzone, averting a safety to punt the ball away. On the next drive, Haven ran out the clock, ending the game.
The win is Schuylkill Haven’s third in a row, bringing their record to 3-4. Shenandoah Valley, 0-7 now, will face the also-0-7 Marian Catholic Colts in a game that will likely decide the #4 seed in the District XI 1A playoffs.
