HS BASKETBALL: North Schuylkill names Agosti boys’ head coach
FOUNTAIN SPRINGS – The Spartans have their new head boys’ basketball coach.
The North Schuylkill School Board voted Wednesday to hire Anthony Agosti.
Agosti has been an assistant coach for Tamaqua for the last five years and North Schuylkill will be his first head coaching job.
A 2014 Marian Catholic graduate, Agosti played football, basketball, and baseball for the Colts. He returned to Marian to coach basketball and baseball from 2016-2019 before joining Jim Barron’s staff at Tamaqua in the 2019-20 season.
Agosti replaces Will Bracey as head coach after North Schuylkill opened the coaching position last month.
Bracey had a 60-42 record leading North Schuylkill, including a 2023 Schuylkill League Division I title and appearance in the Schuylkill League championship game.
