MAHANOY CITY – The Golden Bears edged Minersville 54-51 Friday night at home.
The Golden Bears took an early lead in the game, leading 9-0 at one point in the first quarter, but that lead evaporated by the end.
Minersville closed the gap by the end of the game, but could not take the final edge.
The win gives Mahanoy its third on the season, improving to 3-18, while Minersville falls to 1-16.
