HOMETOWN – The Hometown Walmart has a new look and a Dunkin franchise inside.
Walmart held a grand reopening at the store off Route 309 north of Hometown Friday morning.
“We now have a Dunkin’!” Samantha Somma, Store Manager of the Hometown Walmart, said. “This remodel reflects our commitment to enhancing the shopping experience, with quality products at everyday low prices. I’d really like to thank our dedicated associates, and our store leadership teams for their exceptional efforts throughout the renovation.”
The Marian Catholic High School and cheerleaders were on hand for the celebration.
Walmart also donated $7,000 to groups in, around, and serving the eastern Schuylkill County area, including Make-a-Wish Schuylkill, the Miss Greater Hazleton Scholarship Program, Safer Streets for Tamaqua’s Little Feet, and St. Jerome’s After School Program, among others.
The new store features new paint, fixtures, signage, lighting, expanded aisles, pharmacy improvements, and more.
Fourteen employees with the store since it opened were also recognized.
