Historical Society to hold presentation on Sheppton Mine Disaster

SHENANDOAH – The Greater Shenandoah Area Historical Society will open their 2025 presentation season with a talk on the Sheppton Mine Disaster of 1963.

Local historian Andy Ulicny will present slides regarding the historic incident in East Union Township Tuesday at 6:30pm at the historical society museum at 201 South Main Street, Shenandoah.

All are welcome and the talk is free of charge. Refreshments will be served afterwards as well.
