Heights man on probation picked up with drugs, paraphernalia
SHENANDOAH – A Shenandoah Heights man is facing charges for possession of drugs and paraphernalia stemming from an incident a week and a half ago.
Enrique Vives, 48, of the 200 block of Indiana Avenue, was arraigned today by Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker on three felony counts of possession with intent to deliver, a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana, and a summary count of driving while DUI suspended.
Borough police said that, around 8:00pm on May 16, Schuylkill County Adult Probation contacted them for assistance seeking a male on supervision.
Adult Probation said they were looking for Vives, and, around 9:30pm, said he was supposedly in the 300 block of South Main Street in the borough.
Lieutenant William Moyer and Patrolman Adam Sajone spotted Vives entering his car and driving north on Main Street there, and pulled him over in the Turkey Hill parking lot.
Vives was taken into custody and transferred to the custody of adult probation and housed in the Schuylkill County Prison. At the time, he was in possession of 28 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a large amount of U.S. currency.
The next day, Monday, May 17, officers obtained and served a search warrant on Vives’ car.
In it, they found 34 grams of suspected cocaine, 30 grams of suspected fentanyl, and a small amount of marijuana.
Charges were filed and Vives was arraigned today with bail set at $25,000.
