Heights firefighters called for unknown type fire, find car crash

WEST MAHANOY TWP. – Just after 6:00pm Thursday, Shenandoah Heights firefighters were dispatched to the area Ringtown Boulevard and Shenandoah Highway, north of the village, for a reported unknown type fire.
Volunteers responding into the area didn’t find a fire, but they found a vehicle accident in the area of the Locust Ridge Wind Farm.

No injuries were reported, though a GMC SUV was stuck in the mud.
Union Township Police responded to the scene, and a towing company from Shenandoah removed the vehicle.
All first responders were clear of the scene by 7:00pm.
