Hazleton Area wins Paint The Plow contest

HAZLETON – The Hazleton Area Fine Arts Club took the top spot in PennDOT’s Paint the Plow contest for Region 4.
PennDOT hosts the contest to allow high schoolers to use their artistic skills to promote highway safety. This year’s theme was “Use Your Reason When It’s Freezin’.”
Hazleton received 787 votes, winning the fan favorite title against 12 high schools from northeast Pennsylvania.
The school district says the plow can be seen around the city during winter weather events.
