Gilberton council approves donation to Frackville fireworks
GILBERTON – Gilberton Borough Council approved their annual donation to the Frackville fireworks celebration, which technically takes place in their borough.
The $100 donation, approved Thursday, goes toward the July 3rd celebration at the Frackville Little League field in the Planefield section of Gilberton borough.
Also discussed at Thursday’s monthly meeting were procedures regarding employee timesheet submissions.
Council discussed whether or not to require employees to submit them weekly. Some employees submit their timesheets monthly.
Mayor Michael Van Allen also discussed the upcoming Memorial Day commemoration, which will be held in the village of Gilberton this year.
