Frackville plans traffic pattern change on Cherry Street

FRACKVILLE – An alleyway in Frackville will soon be a one-way, if borough council adopts an ordinance at a later meeting.

Council, at Thursday night’s meeting, approved advertising an ordinance to make Cherry Street one-way from East Pine to East Spring.

An ordinance must be advertised prior to adoption.

Council voted 4-1 to approve the ordinance. Ron Jordan, Stephen Tertel, Ed Beneshunas, and Brian Russell voted in favor. Charles Berger voted against. Russell Cunningham and Steve Kuzio were absent.

No reason was provided for the traffic pattern change.
