Four transported after Girardville crash

GIRARDVILLE – Four people were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries after a two vehicle crash in Girardville Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened around 8:30am in the area of 315 West Mahanoy Avenue, when two vehicles, a Ford Escape and a Dodge Journey, collided.
One of the vehicles was attempting a U-Turn when the crash occurred, and the Journey rolled onto its side.
Four people were transported with non-life threatening injuries, and five ambulances were called to the scene.
Responding to the scene along with the EMS crews were Girardville and Ashland firefighters and Pennsylvania State Troopers.
