RINGTOWN – Firefighters from multiple northern Schuylkill communities were dispatched to a popular restaurant in the Ringtown Valley Thursday night for a reported electrical fire.
Crews were dispatched just after 11pm Thursday to 116 Ringtown Boulevard, the Creekside Restaurant, for reports of an electrical fire. A resident in the building reported a smell of wires burning.
Arriving firefighters found a small outlet fire in the restaurant portion of the mixed-use building, and responding units were advised to respond at a reduced rate. Out-of-town crews staged outside the building, while others were cleared altogether.
The fire was handled and crews were clear of the scene within an hour.
Firefighters from Aristes, and Shenandoah assisted Ringtown crews at the scene.
