Fire damages Ashland row homes

ASHLAND – No one was injured when fire broke out in a pair of Ashland row homes Wednesday night.
Ashland and Girardville were called to 1016 Market Street around 9:00pm.
The fire was quickly upgraded to a second alarm incident, bringing units from Mount Carmel, Englewood, Altamont, Gordon, and other nearby communities.

“We made a very quick attack and knocked the fire down,” said Ashland Fire Chief Phillip Groody.
He said no one was hurt in the fire.
A State Police Fire Marshal will be at the scene tomorrow to investigate.
