Fire behind Shenandoah Historical Society under investigation
SHENANDOAH – A small fire behind the Greater Shenandoah Area Historical Society early Monday morning is under investigation.
Firefighters were called to the area of Cherry and Market Street just before 4am for a reported building fire.
Crews arrived to find a small fire burning in an area behind the museum.
The fire was extinguished in short order and no significant damage to the building was reported.
No injuries were reported and fire officials are investigating.
Residents are asked to remain vigilant for any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods, especially in and around abandoned structures and to report any such activity to police.
