Electrical fire displaces residents on N. Jardin
SHENANDOAH – An electrical fire Monday afternoon at a home on North Jardin Street displaced the residents who live there.
Shenandoah firefighters were called to 132 North Jardin Street around 7:00pm for reports of a house fire.
Firefighters found an electrical fire in the upper floors of the home, which was promptly extinguished.
Fire officials said damage to the home was minimal, and no one was injured.
The family will be staying elsewhere and power will be disconnected from the home, fire officials added.
Firefighters remained at the scene for about an hour.
Responding were firefighters from all Shenandoah fire companies along with Shenandoah and Mahanoy City Police and Shenandoah Ambulance.
Monday’s incident was not the first of its kind at the address. Firefighters were called to the home in December of 2017 for an electrical fire as well.
