KAYLEE LINDENMUTH / SHENANDOAH SENTINEL - Union Township Supervisors candidates Dave Briggs, left, and Jordan Milewski, right, shake hands outside the Union Township Municipal Building on Nov. 4, 2025.
RINGTOWN – In the valley, an incumbent township supervisor lost his re-election bid while another won his.
In Union Township, David Briggs had been a township supervisor for the past 18 years.
The Democrat lost his re-election bid to political newcomer Jordan J. Milewski, a Republican.
The two candidates spent the day campaigning at the Union Township Municipal Building just outside Ringtown.
“This is probably an example of proper political discourse,” Milewski said of the two campaigns.
“We get along,” Briggs said. “If I win, good. If he wins, good.”
Briggs earned 229 votes to Milewski’s 241 as of the unofficial final update from Schuylkill County.

Up in Nuremberg, Bryan Flaim held off a challenge from Holly Teter.
Flaim, a Republican, earned re-election with 200 votes to 172 votes for Teter, a Democrat.
