East Union adds second speed sign in hopes of deterring speeding

BRANDONVILLE – In an effort to deter speeders on the main thoroughfares in the township, East Union Township installed a second speed sign, this time in Brandonville.
The sign reminds drivers of their speed as the enter the village from the Shenandoah mountain on Route 924.
It “gives them a chance to slow down before getting a personal meet and greet with one of our officers,” township officials said in a Facebook post.
It is the second to be installed in the township.
The first was installed in Sheppton at the south end of town on Route 924 at Elm Street.
