Decades of Shenandoah yearbooks on display at library, historical society
SHENANDOAH – Shenandoah’s scholastic history dating back to the 1920’s is now available for public viewing at the Shenandoah Area Free Public Library.
Yearbooks from the Shenandoah Valley High School and its borough predecessors are now on display, thanks to a partnership between the library and the school district.
These books will be available for the public to view but may not be taken from the library.
Yearbooks are also on display at the Greater Shenandoah Area Historical Society located at 201 South Main Street by appointment.
There is also a rather complete collection of scrap books containing newspaper clippings along with yearbooks from Shenandoah Catholic and West Mahanoy Township.
Plans are currently being discussed to have public relations packets on display consisting of newspaper articles that will be labeled by months and years.
