LOST CREEK – Firefighters from across the Shenandoah area battled a blaze at a Lost Creek garage Tuesday afternoon.
Crews were called to a home at 7 Church Road in the West Mahanoy Township village around 1pm Tuesday for a reported structure fire.
Arriving crews found a garage aflame behind the home.

Firefighters from the township’s three fire companies along with crews from Shenandoah, Girardville, and Mahanoy City all responded to assist.
The fire was brought under control within about an hour.
One person was checked out by Shenandoah Ambulance.
