Council approves raise for borough manager

SHENANDOAH – Shenandoah’s borough manager received a raise after two and a half years on the job.
Council unanimously approved setting Tony Sajone’s salary at $70,000 at Monday’s meeting.
“He is well-deserved of that salary,” Council Vice President Leo Pietkiewicz said as he made the motion to bring the matter to a vote.
“We think you work really hard and we’re glad to have you,” Council President Katie Catizone said after the matter passed.
Sajone said his salary was $46,000 prior to the vote.
