BLOOMSBURG, Columbia County – Three people suffered non-life threatening injuries when a sightseeing helicopter went down in a parking lot Saturday evening in Bloomsburg.

The crash happened around 7:30pm Saturday in Lot C at the fairgrounds, when an Enstrom F28F sightseeing helicopter crashed and struck parked vehicles.

Photos circulating around social media show the helicopter on its side resting near the damaged vehicles. From the fairgrounds itself, the landing gear could be seen above a row of parked cars.

Three people — the pilot and two passengers — were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the incident.
